User Experience Executive (Admin)

The User Experience Executive works under the supervision of the Pastor-in-Charge to enhance the experience of people engaging with Fairfield Methodist Church (FFMC), both physically and digitally.

The role works closely with pastoral staff, ministry leaders and volunteers to understand their communication and engagement needs, and to use digital marketing, social media, content creation, writing and editing to strengthen ministry engagement and outreach.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing & Social Media

    1. Develop and implement digital marketing and social media strategies to support FFMC ministries, programmes, events and outreach
    2. Manage FFMC’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Telegram and other relevant platforms
    3. Develop content calendars, campaigns and engaging digital content
    4. Monitor digital engagement and analytics and recommend improvements
  • Content Creation & Communications

    1. Write, edit and proofread content for websites, social media, newsletters, announcements and ministry materials
    2. Create engaging and audience-appropriate content, including stories, posts, short-form videos and promotional materials
    3. Work with ministries to communicate their programmes and activities clearly and effectively
    4. Help communicate and celebrate what God is doing through FFMC and its ministries
  • Website & Digital Experience

    1. Maintain and update FFMC’s website and relevant digital platforms
    2. Ensure information is accurate, current, accessible and easy to navigate
    3. Review the digital user journey and recommend improvements to enhance engagement
    4. Monitor website analytics and user behaviour
  • Ministry & Community Engagement

    1. Work with assigned ministries to understand their communication and engagement needs
    2. Advise ministries on appropriate communication channels, messaging and digital marketing approaches
    3. Develop campaigns to encourage participation in FFMC programmes, events and outreach
    4. Explore digital and hybrid approaches to community engagement and evangelism
  • Collaboration & Resources

    1. Work collaboratively with pastoral staff, ministry leaders, volunteers and other stakeholders
    2. Coordinate with designers, photographers, videographers and other external resources when required
    3. Develop simple communication templates and resources to support ministries
    4. Build and coordinate a pool of volunteers to support digital communications and user experience
    5. Undertake other duties as assigned by the Pastor-in-Charge

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital marketing, communications, social media, content creation or a related field, preferably in a church, non-profit or business environment
  • Diploma or degree in marketing, communications, digital marketing, media or a related field
  • Strong written and spoken English, with good writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Proficient in social media platforms and digital marketing tools
  • Familiarity with website content management systems and digital analytics
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with staff, ministry leaders and volunteers
  • Creative, resourceful and passionate about creating meaningful user experiences
  • Basic knowledge of content creation tools would be an advantage
