What We Believe

FFMC embraces the following values in our goal of becoming a disciple-making church and in the way we fulfil our mission:

Living our lives in daily surrender and sacrifice to God, abiding in His will for us

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.  (John 15:5)

Seeking God through the Bible, which is the absolute authority over our lives

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.  (Colossians 2:6-7)

Loving God and all people earnestly

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart (1 Peter 1:22)

Acknowledging that whilst we may be different, we are a family in Christ

For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. (Romans 12:4-5)

Interceding and reaching out to all around us with God’s love

“This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’ (Zechariah 7:9-10)
