WE ARE IN The Season of epiphany
The Season of Epiphany marks the climax of Christmastide and lasts nine weeks from the Day of Epiphany (January 6) through to the day before Ash Wednesday. The term epiphany means “to show” or “to make known” or even “to reveal”. It remembers the coming of the wise men bringing gifts to visit the Christ child, who by so doing “reveal” Jesus to the world as Lord and King. The first and last Sundays, the liturgical colour is white, otherwise, the liturgical colour is green.
