The position of facilities maintenance Executive (building and services)

The Facilities Maintenance Executive will work under the supervision of the Church Administrator to provide administrative and logistics support in the overall property and facilities management of the Church.

  • All administration support which includes but not limited to:
    -Documentations, filing and updating of records.
    -Processing related building and facilities maintenance and works expenses.
    -Administer the maintenance data and records for management report.
  • Manage and maintain a church facilities booking system. Liaise and coordinate internal/external parties on their booking requirements.
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate the vendor/ third party service providers for housekeeping/security ensuring delivery of their contract and this includes replenish of cleaning/sanitary/other supplies.
  • Ensure proper and scheduled maintenance of the church building and facilities, and equipment in a timely and regulated manner which include preventive and corrective maintenance and housekeeping. And to liaise and comply with relevant legislations and safe work procedures.
  • Supervise and manage contractors in fulfilling their contractual obligations.
  • Assist the Church Property Management Committee to carry out its work plans. This also includes the sourcing of suppliers, supplies and materials as and when required.
  • Manage the Church facility budgets, ensuring that expenses are within budgetary parameters and track capital expenditures. Keep an updated list of all assets
  • Provide procurement and logistic support needed by the Church office as directed by the Senior Administrator or Pastors.
  • Facilitating Risk assessment, fire safety, emergency response where appropriate, as related to building management.
  • Any other duties or projects or upgrading as assigned by the Church Administrator or Pastors.

  • Diploma/Higher NITEC in Facility/Building Management, Engineering or relevant fields
  • More than 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in facilities/building management.
  • Conversant with the requirements of regulatory authorities and building regulations
the position of accounts and hr officer

Under the direction of Church Administrator, the Accounts & HR Officer supports the finance and human resource administration of the church office.

  1. Accounting
    1.1 Handle the full set of church accounts.
    1.2 Handle accounts receivables and payables.
    1.3 Maintain proper documentation of all transactions.
    1.4 Process all collections including banking.
    1.5 Execute financial transactions and activities such as bill payments, invoicing and
    claims.
    1.6 Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
    1.7 Handle the yearly audit process.
    1.8 Attend to enquiries on financial matters.
    1.9 Any other duties as assigned by the Church Administrator.
  2. Human Resource
    2.1 Handle staff payroll process, claims expenses, and other related matters.
    2.2 Liaise with insurance agents relating to renewal, cancellation and claims of staff
    insurances.

  1. Minimum Certificate in Accounting or equivalent.
  2. At least 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting.
  3. Meticulous with attention to details.
  4. Proficient in computer knowledge and MS Office skills.
  5. Knowledge of accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, etc.
  6. Resourceful and independent worker with ability to multi-task.
  7. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
THE POSITION OF PASTORAL TEAM MEMBER (PASTORAL CARE)

The Pastoral Team Member will work under the supervision of the Pastor-in-Charge, and with the Pastor assigned to carry out the duties of planning, organizing and managing the assigned ministries towards attaining the vision of Fairfield Methodist Church.

Objective:

To provide meaningful pastoral care support and membership care that is relevant and age appropriate to the needs of our members and worshippers.

A. Pastoral Care

  1. Execute an effective system of providing pastoral care to members and worshippers.
  2. Provide spiritual support in palliative care, bereavement care and the troubled.
  3. Pastoral visitations and coordination of homebound, hospitalisation, wakes and funerals.
  4. Facilitate the Home/Hospital Visitation & Care Team.
  5. Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers to resource and provide ministry of caring, eg FFMC Care Team, Visitation team.
  6. Develop and implement necessary communication channels and process to ensure pastoral needs are known.
  7. Assist the Pastors to conduct wake services.
  8. Implement age appropriate care programmes.

B. Baptism And Membership Class

  1. Assist the pastors in the Baptism and Membership Class (administer & organise the class, conduct interviews with applicants, etc)
  2. Conduct selected sessions of the Baptism and Membership Class, only if required.

C. Ministry Support and Involvement

  1. Liaise with members and volunteers to provide prayer & concerns updates for church prayer meetings.
  2. Regular pastoral care records update relating to pastoral care (visitation and bereavement)
  3. Connecting and outreach efforts of the church

D. Other Duties

  1. Any other duties as assigned by the Pastor-In-Charge or the pastor overseeing the ministry staff’s area of responsibility in consultation with the Pastor-in-Charge.

 

 

  • The Candidate must have relevant theological studies or qualifications from related fields and/or at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Candidate must be able to work outside normal schedules on evenings and weekends
  • Candidate must be a dedicated team player with a compassionate and shepherd’s heart.
  • Candidate must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A matured Christian and willing to learn.
