city connect resumes on 14 July 2022!
Welcome to City Connect!
City Connect was set up on 31st May 2018 with the purpose of serving and connecting with the marketplace community and the community at large in and around Chinatown, Tanjong Pagar and Fairfield Methodist Church (FFMC). Activities were suspended since 22 March 2020 due to the Covid pandemic and we are happy to announce that we will resume on 14 July 2022 as the situation eases.
Our aim is to provide the lunchtime crowd at Maxwell Food Centre and vicinity with a comfortable environment (air-conditioned and free wifi) to enjoy their packed lunch. We are open every Thursday and Friday (except Public Holiday) from 11.30 am – 2.30 pm, at the Encounter Lounge situated on the ground floor of FFMC.
It’s a great place to have your lunch (far from the madding crowd at nearby hawker centres) and a definite opportunity to have a relaxed catch-up time with your colleagues and friends. Passers-by (tourists and visitors) are welcomed to seek shelter from the sun and rain, rest their weary feet and to even take a break before they move on to their next appointment or meeting.
A team of befrienders is on duty to assist you and even provide a listening ear for your cares and concerns (if you need one).
Need to catch up on some reading and news updates? We have a book table with varied resources (newspapers, magazines and books) to cater to your interest.
